Locker Bus

Locker Bus

Jam packed locker room
babble gabble clutter room
no air, makes me dizzy.
Children barge, punch and elbow;
no one waits till the crush has gone.

Vinni's a locker bus:
if I hold onto his bag
then Jacob on mine
then Tommy on Jacob's,
Vinni will pull us through.

With a shove, a kick
and a really big flick
of shoes and hands
Vinni will bash and crash and smash
through all in our way.

It's not that he's strong,
it's his sheer weight and size,
for he's not just a locker bus
but a steam roller in disguise.
