Applaud Me!
Ten dancing daffodils ago,
when his glowing olive
face ran across the
jocund park and
shouted
GRASS!
The ducks congratulated
him with a great comforting
QUACK!
Eight soapy bubbles ago,
when his beaming
blossom countenance
turned a
mellow vanilla
as my dad exclaimed
BATHTIME!
He used his well
known secret weapon
and manipulated his
sweetness, like Puss in
Boots, eyeing up a scaly
Sardine, causing me
To whisper
AWW!
Four sticky delicious buns ago
when his miniature fingers
transformed into chocolate
after a single, oozing
biscuit
MESSY!
Inventing a never melting
confectionery bar,
which he wasn't allowed,
he did a crazy mango melody
dance to ‘Mr Lonely'
thinking ...
APPLAUD ME!
