Chris Wallace-Crabbe was born in 1934 in Australia and is chair of the Australian Poetry Centre. He has taught at many leading universities, including Harvard, and since retirement has been Professor Emeritus at the University of Melbourne. In addition to eighteen poetry collections produced over five decades – most recently Telling a Hawk from a Handsaw (2008) – he has published six books of literary criticism and edited many poetry anthologies. In 2011 he was awarded the Order of Australia medal for serviced to the arts. more…
