Peter Sansom was born in 1958 in Nottingham and educated at Huddersfield, where he taught the Poetry MA for ten years. A Director of the Poetry Business and editor of The North and Smith/Doorstop Books, he has been Fellow in Creative Writing at Leeds and the company poet with both Marks and Spencer and The Prudential. He has published six collections (including one volume for children) most recently The Last Place on Earth (2006) and Selected Poems (2010). more…

Ann Sansom was born in 1951 in Doncaster. A Director of the Poetry Business and co-editor of The North and Smith/Doorstop Books, she has written and directed plays for stage and radio and has worked with The British Film Institute on a series of commissioned film-related poems. A regular tutor for WEA, Poetry Society and Arvon Foundation, she has taught at Oxford, Leeds and Sheffield Hallam universities.
